Twin sister of Charles P Tyrrel

Obituary: Albia Newspaper, Friday, January 16, 1916.

Mary E. Tyrrel was born in Monroe County, Iowa, February 20, 1844, and died January 2, 1916. She was married to Harrison Gibson, April 5, 1860, to which union were born five sons: John S., Jess N., Edward R., William H. and E. Milton. Edward F. preceded her in death. In August 1879, she was married to Benjamin Chidester, to which union were born three children: James L., Kester L., and Thurman. A stepson, William Chidester, of Grinell, was present. She was of a large family, having eleven brothers and sisters, five of whom are living: John S. Tyrrel of Wibaux, Mont., Dorliska E. Miller of Eugene, Oregon, Lorenzo P. Tyrrel of McRae, Ark., Osman M. and James Tyrell of Albia, Iowa. She became a member of the church in 1860. She was 71 years, 10 months and twelve days of age. Funeral service was held by Rev. C. V. Pearce of Albia.
